New MMOs in April 2011 Round up!

April is a month full of surprises and expectations for many players. Why? That is due to the arrival of Blade & Soul's first CBT. Since players had waited for the day for several years, how could they not feel excited on hearing of this news. What's more, TERA has revealed the main content of its first large-scale update and ArcheAge has announced the detailed schedule of its 3rd CBT. Well, in addition to these shining blockbusters, what new games dare to come forth in the face of these heavyweight titles? Let's take a quick look.

Blade & Soul

As promised, Blade & Soul's first closed beta test came on April 27th. Although the first closed beta test was only held in Korea, players all over the world were able to share the surprise from Blade & Soul via our reports.

In the CBT, game content ranging from Level 1 to Level 20 will be playable, including the oriental-style movement system, gorgeous skills, group system and much more elements. Testers will get the chance to have a firsthand taste of such things.

NCsoft also revealed the latest system requirements through its new official site.

Blood Rites

Blood Rites is built under kongzhong's own 3D engine and will show excellent graphic performance. The game takes place in a fancy world that contains 3 different realms-Elysia, Asphodel and the Earth. In April, Blood Rites has introduced the details about 3 different realms, weapon model, pvp system and social system.

Blood Rites designed 3 PVP modes, Training, Competition and Slaughter. 60 seconds of cool down time will be applied after shift your PVP mode. When people shift to Competition Mode, all PVP actions are free to blow, and will lead to no punishment. Therefore, a free-for-all PVP environment is built in front of you. If you are a PVP fanatic, this will satisfy you better than everything.

Eden Eternal

The anime style MMORPG Eden Eternal provides you 15 classes from warrior to healer, but that's not what Aeria Games really wants to give you. The game won't restrict your characters' classes, on the contrary, it allows you to switch between different classes, and all you need to do is to unlock as many classes as you can.

This month, Aeria Games revealed the first region Limestone Mountain and character classes details for Eden Eternal.

Eden Eternal class system features:

Branched Class System – Each class falls under one of five traditional MMORPG branches: Melee DPS, Magic DPS, Ranged DPS, Tanks and Healer/Support.
Branch & Class Skills – Each branch has a set of unique skills available to every class in the branch. Use your branch skills, and/or take advantage of each class's highly specialized skills.
Freely Swap Classes – Tired of playing as a hack 'n' slash Warrior? In need of a healer for your party? No problem with Eden Eternal's daring new class switching system!
Class Traits & Bonuses – Each class possesses a valuable combat trait. Other unique class perks include damage bonuses for their preferred weapon and pet-summoning capabilities.

Dragon Nest

Great news for Dragon Nest fans! Nexon team announced that Dragon Nest CBT will start on May 17th and the final release is set for this summer in US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Players just need to just head to the official site and find the CB apply button on the top of the page.

As an action mmorpg, Dragon Nest features well-designed graphics and fast-paced action comparable with console games. The characters' movements, monsters' response and the interaction between landforms and player activities are all designed realistically. When a monster is attacked, it will crash into a stone or another type of obstacle. If you team up with other players, there will be even more combat styles available.

Langrisser Schwarz

Langrisser Schwarz, developed by Gamania Digital Entertainment, is a MMORPG remake of the classic tactical RPG, Langrisser series that was very popular on PC and consoles. In April, Gamania reveals the Three Forces (factions), as well as some of the different objectives and quests available in Langrisser Schwarz.

Langrisser Schwarz revolves around the opposing three forces: Light, Empire, and Dark. After choosing a Force, the storyline will take the player through epic quests and strategic battles as they strive to conquer the world. In order to dynamically portray the Three Forces in Langrisser Schwarz, the developers focused on creating customised settings for each force - including unique visual color tones, background story, character style, profession choices, and different types of mercenaries. Each Force has a main quest that is unique to that faction, immersing the player within the different values of the chosen Force.

TopGun Online

TOPGUN Online was developed by Masangsoft, Inc., the developer behind ACEonline, one of the finest representative flights shooting game in Korea. The secret existence of Aerial Combat MMOG 'TOPGUN Online' slightly opened its teaser website and released the first screenshot recently.
